Amazing food and excellent service. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. The food is high quality. We have sirloin steak, tuna, fish soup, seafood tomato salad, cod al pilpil, steak. Simple amazing quality. The only thing was the interior was very sober, gray walls, and very classical, but also traditionally basque. Will 100% come back.

Comida riquísima! We had pimientos de Guernica, gallo de la plancha and pork cheeks with tarta de queso and tostada (a typical dessert of the area) with a bottle of wine EACH, bread, and soup. All for only$22 a person!!!! We could barely walk out of the restaurant we were so full.

When we arrived at the restaurant, almost by chance, we had to queue for a good 45 minutes, although this didn't seem too much of a hardship sitting outside with a cold beer. It's the most wonderfully authentic old-fashioned Basque restaurant imaginable, really that's it, just do it. Everything is home-cooked nothing not to like, although please don't ask for anything stupid like gluten free, they are not on that wavelength.

Back again in September for evening meal. Lovely friendly restaurant, enjoyed the food. Excellent place, lovely friendly atmosphere, packed with locals. Menu del dia at 15.00 excellent Very enjoyable experience

A real gem of restaurant hidden in the back of the bar. Pre-fix 3 course menu or off a menu, includes a bottle of local red, bread & water. Every dish was an amazing- Tina & tomato salad and meat pallea to start, bacalas a la placha and beef tongue ( both amazing!!) and a selection of delicious desserts . Friendly service and full of locals. Price was 16 euros a person enjoyed coffee in the bar afterwards If there is a wait, enjoy a drink at the bar while you wait

Fantastic and authentic. Very friendly and helpful even we spoke poor/none Spanish. Fish in green sauce is even better than the cafe in Bilbao/Gehry Museum- personal opinion. You can feel the Basque vibe just watching people at the bar or in the grill restaurant. We had the recommendation from local traveler from previous destination. We all loved it.
